I have been an agent for positive global ambassador in my community at home by supporting the refugee community in Australia. I have been volunteering for an organisation and helping newly arrived immigrants with their homework, helping those refugees that do make it to Australia to settle in comfortably. I have also been part of a program with my school to collect donations - both monetary and other donations - for refugee families. We are also holding a fundraising event later this term to raise money for refugees all around the state. I have participated in some of the ASRC's (Asylum Seeker Resource Centre) programs, as I have visited their centre in Footscray and a food market in the city dedicated to providing food for those refugees in need. All these experiences have been extremely rewarding for me - but more importantly, it is great to know that what I am doing is making a difference in this world. It is extremely heartening to know that my actions, however small, can truly make a difference to the lives of those in need around Victoria. Yet most importantly, I have promoted my ideas and values in discussions with friends and family, and on social media. It is all well and good for one person to get involved, but for true acceptance and assistance, I feel it is most important to spread awareness for this issue in Australia and promote my views on a wider scale. I feel that this will have a more positive impact on a wider scale. So this is why I would be one of the best positive global ambassadors for The 8 App. #AgentForChange
