Daily Stoic: We all have those days that just seem to dissolve into nothing. You want to finish things, but you can barely start. You manage to get into work and once there, you stare at your screen, you procrastinate, you surf, you waste your time. Then you go home, and you keep wasting it. You binge watch a show; you keeping surfing. Then, bed. And what do you have to show for it? Not much. Start each day with the decision to own it. Wake up and actually tell yourself that. Seneca did it his own way. He said, “As each day arises, welcome it as the very best day of all, and make it your own possession. We must seize what flees.” These days are going to disappear—fast. Make them count. Make today count. https://dailystoic.com
GOD grant me the SERENITY to accept the things I cannot change. COURAGE to change the things I can, And WISDOM to know the difference. I am working on my sobriety. These simple words when put to practice have an empowering affect. I am grateful for the opportunity to be imperfect. I pray Gods hand will be with everyone today.
