It’s been a while since I’ve forced myself to be quiet, take a deep breath and read! I’ve decided that reading can be quite therapeutic. I’ve been reading this book by Kelly Corrigan called “Tell Me More.” she walks us through her experiences with loosing people she loves, conversations she had with them and even ones she didn’t. Her dad and best friend both died from cancer and she herself had overcome the ugly beast with a variety of chemotherapies. There’s something about getting into a book, walking into someone’s else’s life and trying to imagine what that might be like. I don’t want to spoil the book for you because it’s a good read. I like her voice and her witty personality, but in reading this, it has caused me to have meaningful conversations with people I love every single day. I kind of do this anyway but I’ve been extra intentional with affirming my kids and affirming Benjamin lately. This life is so fragile that even simple phrases like “you are so amazing” can elevate someone’s day and even turn the tide of their life. #TellMeMore #ad #RandomHouse #ad
